Tanjil South clinic October 2008
This clinic was filled with more surprises than our three New Zealand participants. Awesome and unexpected things almost became expected in this clinic. Amongst other wonderful stuff, Cheryl used our vaulting horse to work out how she would mount her horse again and while she was at it, simulated her accident, totally straightened out the hand that was so badly damaged and gained amazing new strength in her hand. Here’s Cheryl sharing an inter-species communication moment with our horse Celtic Peace.
Claire also used the vaulting horse to release a restriction in her hip that was damaged in a car accident. She’s gone home all excited to ride her horse again, when she thought that wasn’t possible. Here’s Claire developing her considerable talent with Melissa’s horse Bucky.
Leonie set a foundation with her horse Belle that will keep her safe as a relatively new rider with a previously nervy Arab.
Tiriana hid from the camera quite effectively, but Jade caught a photo while we were all out to dinner!
Tiriana developed to an amazing depth as a healer and teacher - look out world, here she comes!
Donna learned how to bubble with joy with Timmy - Kate and Rose’s elderly pony who was coming home after precious service with another family. Here’s Donna giving Timmy a cuddle.
Jade expanded on communication skills she already had and took her horse Max through a
foundation that gave them both incredible confidence when they later went into their saddle work, where Max was using his back for the first time. Here’s Jade and Max having a moment, as they were laying that foundation.
We had people getting in touch with new skills as teachers and as healers. We had one horse who insisted that his owner clear up a very emotional personal situation. We even had Bree, who at three years old, blew us away with her insights. (In the photo with her Mum)
Here’s Mel, sidelined by a broken ankle, using the horses to develop as a teacher to an awesome deg
ree.
Here’s Lindy developing her skills with Copper, one of our elderly pensioners. This young woman is a very talented healer and masseur - I can highly recommend her!
We had people from one end of the clinic to the other, bubbling with joy with their horses and each other.
Here’s Jane with her positvely awesome horse Billy, a beautiful grey thoroughbred. He really held out until she was bubbling with joy - I wish I had a photo then!
We also had Bianca sailing through the lessons with her lovely horse Woody being the speed star of the clinic (sorry I don’t have a photo!) and Jess learning how to handle and sort out all the (previously confusing) messages that she gets from everybody. Their Mum, Marie nearly blew me away with the bubbles of joy that she was experiencing. Even the auditors get to do the clinic here!
Bubbling with joy was so much a part of our experience, that the catch cry for the clinic was “Do a little dance”. (From that song “do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight”) We were all “doin’ a little dance” everywhere we went - from the supermarket to the restaurant where we had dinner. Here’s Leonie “doi
n’ a little dance” for joy with her horse Bella.
And here’s Kate with her magnificent Andalusian “magic horse” Tesoro, getting a new depth of understanding together that brings goose bumps to me when I think of where this talented young woman will take her knowledge.
