Quarterhorse happy and relaxed

Kerry and ParisThis gorgeous big quarterhorse mare had a pretty serious reputation when she came into one of our clinics while we were still writing Bobby’s Diaries – and it certainly wasn’t for being nice! Her very competent rider was at her wits end. This photo of her now happy and relaxed owner riding on a long, loose rein in a large paddock, with the mare in the start of self carriage and now cooperative, says it all.

The method she used to change that unhappy pattern is in Bobby’s Diaries.

How would you like a relationship like this in just days?

Random laying down Holly bought Random 3 days before this clinic. How would you like a relationship like this, that fast?

It’s always so rewarding to see a horse and rider like this - it still brings a lump to my throat.

How you can develop a relationship like this with your horse in just days, is in Bobby’s Diaries.

This nice little warmblood came into a clinic bucking & broncing

andrea-warmblood-in.jpgHis owner is a very competent three star eventer. She said, “I brought him to the clinic because the ways I would normally handle a horse that bucked were not working and I just knew they were never going to work with this horse.”

This photo was taken on day four in the early days of our Spirit of Horse clinics. This is the clinic we run, based on Bobby’s Diaries. As you can see, this little horse’s stride is soft and rhythmic, he’s willing and co-operative - he’s in self carriage on a long, loose rein, at the trot.  This is the foundation of Bobby’s Way.

Within weeks, he was being ridden safely by a child.  The process for achieving this kind of transformation and so fast, is in Bobby’s Diaries.

Believe it or not - it still works anyway

Monty rearingIt is 100% OK for you to NOT believe me when I tell you that I can show you how to hear your horse (and other animals) communicating with you.

What you will achieve by connecting mentally and emotionally and physically with your horse will change both your lives forever anyway.  So there is no need to be afraid that you won’t be able to do it, or that I am some sort of con artist trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

It doesn’t really matter whether you think those thoughts and feelings and flashes of pictures in your head that you will get are truly his or whether they are yours.  When you act on them, you will get results, consistently, that will change both your lives forever.

But again, you don’t have to believe this to get the benefit from the techniques and philosophy that you’ll get from this book.  It’s important for you to understand that.

But if you’ve come to this website and are reading these words and don’t do anything about it at all, you’ll have to wonder every time you look at a horse if you could really understand him if you tried.

What DO horses want?

Bobby listeningYesterday I was being interviewed by the local media about this amazing new book Bobby’s Diaries and the photographer asked “Well, what does he (my horse Bobby) say then? What DO horses want?”  I fumbled for a simple answer then, but thought about it later and came up with this:

• Horses wish for us to communicate with them – a two way street where we listen as well as talk – and where we humans act on what we hear.
• They wish for us to ask for what we want them to do, not push them around, boss them or dominate them.
• They wish for us to be leaders, not bosses. They wish for themselves to be willing partners, not slaves.
• They wish for us to be good riders, brilliant riders even, so that they feel comfortable and joyful to carry us.
• They wish for no pulling on the reins for what we want.  They wish for our use of the reins to be an “ask”.
• They wish to no longer live in even slight fear or anxiety around us.

When I think about it, everything that Bobby told me over two years came into one of these categories.

Not so much to ask……    Pretty simple ……..   really.          Bobby’s Diaries

What the heck are Bobby’s Diaries?

BobbyBobby’s Diaries - Straight From The Horse’s Mouth To You - How your horse can teach you how to become a confident and gifted rider.

“Bobby’s Diaries” are the dozens of pocket sized, hand written notebooks that I carried and wrote in, on the spot, whenever Bobby spoke to me. I brought these notes together to make up this book.

They give you  a simple method to communicate with your own horse.

You can use Bobby’s Way of doing things to get brilliant with horses, no matter what kind of riding you do.  You can use the ideas in Bobby’s book through your own style of riding and your own horse’s needs and your own horse’s voice.

When you are listening to your horse, it works brilliantly no matter what you are doing.

It’s not about what Bobby said to me that is so important – it’s about what your horse can and will say to you, when you are really listening to him.
