What I have created here, from my very personal experience and with the help of hundreds of nervous people and nervous horses, is an on line lesson program to show you how to get happiness for you AND your horse, how to keep it and how you can make it a day to day reality in everything that you do with your horse.

It’s a practical program with lots of techniques and a focus on safety, but with a deep emphasis on the relationship and a beautiful bond between horse and rider.

This is a seriously nice guy so lets see if we can look after him!

I am well known I think, for being a very practical, down to earth spiritual person.  Somebody once said to me that I was the most ordinary weird person she had ever met.  I think it was a compliment.

In that desire to produce very practical results between people and their horses, I have held back on sharing my deeply spiritual nature.  I have hidden a part of myself.

Well I am ready to step out now…

The peace of mind and happiness that I found amidst what should have been very traumatic circumstances last year, is a VERY big deal and something that I would wish that everyone could have – that YOU could have. (Not the traumatic event – the peace of mind and happiness!)

But there is something even bigger going on now.

For some time now I have been flickering around on the edges of expanded consciousness – a few times actually falling into that beautiful whirlpool.
And guess what – da daaaa…   It’s the horses that have taken me there!  What a surprise, hey?

This incredibly alive place that I have found is just a deeper layer of the quiet mind and internal awareness that I have been teaching for years.  It’s just a deeper level of the place where I have been teaching people to go when they needed deeper insights about what was going on with their horse.

When Bobby first asked me to find hold that place of inner awareness while I was with him, whenever I was asking him to do anything, I said to him “Crikey, I don’t think I can do both things at the same time!”

Well it took practice, though not as much as I thought.  With Bobby’s help, later that same day I hit that marvellous place where I was laughing and crying at the same time with the wonder of it.

And since then, my hard task master horse (smiling) has been holding my nose to the grindstone and requesting and reminding me of that inner awareness all the time.  It’s the practice of that with him and then at other times, that has me flickering around the edges of expanded consciousness just about as often as I want to be.

Bobby said to me back at the beginning of this part of my journey – “when you’re in that place (of deep inner awareness) I don’t have to shout”.  Crikey – poor beggar has been shouting all these years…

Where this is going…

As I look back, most of the people who contact me for help with their horses have been receiving a much more consistently spiritual help amongst some practical advice about techniques.

And every one of them has left our call, having found peace of mind after what was usually turmoil or outright terrible fear.  Being part of that and experiencing it with them when they discover that joyous feeling, is one of the wonderful side benefits of what I do.

And that joyous feeling is the result of paying the right kind of attention to the fear, anxiety, nervousness or even dread that you can experience around your horse.

The gift lesson set The Six Keys to Happiness with Your Horse is meant to connect as many horses and riders under as many circumstances as possible.  People will use that connection and different way of being with horses, to do all kinds of things that would not suit me personally to do.

I know I will still approve of what they will do with it, however, because for all of them – people and horses alike – it will be a step forwards in the direction in which THEY want to go and everybody WANTS  to be happy … we all just go about getting that differently that’s all.

The world is seriously ready for this program.  Everywhere I look and listen, people are noticing their nervousness, their anxiety and their fear – I am even hearing this from some VERY unexpected people.  So a systematic approach from the ground up – an “in your own home” coaching program is going to come down like manna from heaven to many, many people.

Thanks heaps to those who have been helping me develop this program.  Woohooo!  You rock!

Yeah, yeah – I AM getting to the point!

Well, I think that some people – not remotely all mind you – just SOME people are looking for the combination of the practical horse stuff and the deeply spiritual journey now.

And I don’t think it’s coincidence that even though this has been going on for a long time, that I am only noticing the pattern now, when I am stepping up to be seen as the deeply spiritual person that I am.

So I am thinking of an intimate coaching program – no more than 10 people on each of the two broad time zones of the world – boutique clinic size – where we systematically work our way through people and horses’ nervousness and anxieties – from the ground up to the saddle work – with a 6 month practical coaching program – whilst at the same time taking a very spiritual approach.

We would use the intimacy and power of a very small group of people meeting regularly over the phone and over the net.

We would use the practicality of the horsemanship and all the great results that will come from that – but with a strong and open spiritual focus that will deliberately spill the happiness with your horses into the rest of your life.

Mega support for you with mega access to me for six whole months.

All the calls for the group would only be available to people from the group itself – not for public consumption or publication and would be recorded so that you could still get to listen to your call even if you had something going on and missed the actual time.

This program would be a fast track to the “mind like still water” that Mark Rashid talks about and yet cover all kinds of practical horse stuff at the time and all the techniques that go with that.

Resulting in seriously good horsemanship, fun, keeping ourselves safe, making good friends to nurture the joy which can be fragile at the beginning – and solving the problems of life, love and the universe.  (Just kidding about the last part!)  … Or am I?

Now, this is the important bit.  I need your help to know whether to go ahead or not…

Hey – was it worth the cliffhanger?

I looked around recently and realised that I had everything that I had asked for.   Go figure, that everything that I had wanted should have come out of such a traumatic event as losing our farm!

During that year, even though I experienced episodes of grief and sadness – in between AND for most of the time, I found the most peace of mind and happiness that I have ever known.

What a gift the horses have been in that whole process. I am not so sure that it would have happened like that without them…

Empowering others to find that peace of mind and happiness no matter what is going on in their lives has become a very important part of what I do.

That peace of mind and happiness has become a major focus of my work – especially with the people who ring me asking for help with their horses.  I so love it when they get their ahaa… moments, their fear disappears and they start experiencing the first stirrings of joyfulness.

Being a part of that process, means that I am constantly experiencing that joyfulness with them.  Feeling like that so often while I’m working – what a wonderful way to earn a living!

Anyway, that leads me to the huge insight that I have been getting over the last few days.

This is much bigger than The Six Keys to Happiness with Your Horse.  It’s much bigger than From Your Horse’s Heart – developed BY nervous people and horses FOR nervous people and horses.

It’s so big that it’s blowing me away and leaving me feeling a little vulnerable…

So I thought I would ask you.

And here’s another one.  Bobby is always coming out with new things for me to dwell on and someone suggested that we have “Bobby’s words of the week” or something like that.  I LOVE IT!  So what should we call that too?

But this excitement is different. This excitement brings tears to my eyes with the power of the possibilities.

You already know that everybody is already connected to their horse.

But the big thing is … How many people know how to use that connection consciously and deliberately and routinely to get the best outcome for themselves and for their horse? To get the happiest journey? Peace of mind? Confidence?

For a long time now, I have realised that my mission in life is to consciously connect people and horses from all walks of the horse world – with a vision that everyone is in a different place, at a different stage and doing it differently. I realised that when the horse and human are consciously connected, the horse has a voice. When the horse has a voice, the horse AND the human both have the opportunity to get what they are looking for from each other.

The outcomes from that are as varied as they are beautiful – horses never cease to amaze me at their capacity for giving to us humans. But that is not what I am excited about this time.

Here is how I plan to fulfil what I consider is my mission. And THIS is what I am excited about.

We’re breaking new ground again in the horse world with a gift that blows me away with its possibilities. Yep …a gift… free … no charge … no money changes hands… nada … at all. This is my gift back to the horses and horse people of the world as MY thank you to Bobby and The Horse generally, who has brought and continues to bring so incredibly much to my life.

Lesson 1 The first key to happiness – connecting to your horse’s mind and emotions so that you can understand each other. In this lesson, we work through a technique to get a quiet mind and notice how YOU experience your connection with your horse and bring that to your conscious mind.

Lesson 2 The second key to happiness – Understanding what to do when your horse is anxious or afraid is the second key to happiness AND the biggest key to co-operative behaviour. Introducing the comfort zone model – a simple tool that gives you a whole new way of dealing with your horse’s fear no matter how much expertise you do or don’t have.

Lesson 3 The third key to happiness – it’s no good just helping your horse feel safe – YOU have to feel safe too, to be happy! You are entitled to not only BE safe around your horse, but to FEEL safe.

Lesson 4 The fourth key to happiness – No more “gotcha!” This lesson appears to be about catching your horse, but it is MUCH more than that. It is about learning how to use the early warning signal that I call Not Quite Right to get your horse to WANT to be with you when it’s time to be caught.

Lesson 5 The fifth key for happiness – getting your horse to do what YOU want him to do, happily. The “My grass!” game. This lesson looks like it’s about stopping your horse from dragging you around when they want to eat grass – but it is about MUCH more than that. Pay attention to the creative way we got this horse to be HAPPY about doing what he was asked to do.

Lesson 6 The sixth key to happiness – Get your safety and their good manners as routine while you deepen the bond with your horse. On the surface of it, this lesson is about safety and relaxation at your horse’s feed time. But in reality, feed time is just an excellent place to start thinking about the whole big picture of what is – and what is not – acceptable to you with your horse. HOW we go about dealing with ANY “problem” is what will deepen the bond with your horse.

And yes, you CAN believe it – this 6 lesson on line course is the GIFT that I was talking about.

Why such a HUGE gift? With these videos, I am creating the possibility that listening and then experiencing happiness with our horses will become the normal way of being with horses. My business focus is now slightly different from that mission. I am going to be focussing on helping nervous horse people feel confident and capable and access a deeper and more consistent sense of peace and happiness with their horse. You will notice that my business focus is now much narrower than my mission.
