Hi, I’m Jenny Pearce and the human side of the partnership that wrote the book “Bobby’s Diaries - Straight from the Horse’s Mouth to You”.
I’m the wrong side of middle age and significantly overweight since I stopped smoking. I learnt to ride as an adult with all the lack of confidence and naturally developed talent that that usually means. I’m not even a really good rider and yet I’m doing the most amazing stuff with my horse by listening to him and using what HE teaches ME to get the results of the confident and gifted rider.
Imagine what the young ones could do with the same information? Imagine what a rider with a bit of talent could do?
A bit more about us…
We have what we believe to be the world’s first totally alternative medicine horse hospital in a tiny community called Tanjil South, in Victoria, Australia. For those familiar with regions, Tanjil South is nestled on the edge of the Latrobe Valley, in Gippsland, a couple of driving hours away from the centre of Melbourne.
I “do” dozens of different alternative and holistic methods of healing with both people and all sorts of animals. These “tools” include advanced kinesiology, Bowen muscle therapy, homeopathic and herbal medicine, meridian and acupuncture point therapy, emotional defusions, genetic blueprinting, vitamin and mineral balancing, food sensivity and allergy testing and chakra balancing - I am a Reiki master practitioner and a Mechizideck master.
Horses are my passion. I have an international reputation - only “good” as far as I know!
I am totally committed to a life that involves constant personal and professional growth and to ways of healing that empower people to heal themselves. In fact an intense focus of my healing work has been to help people understand how they can significantly contribute to their own healing.

I am supposed to be the owner of Bobby, a fourteen year old thoroughbred, but these days, I am very unsure as to who owns who!
For over thirty years, I rode and handled horses poorly. I’ve had show horses, a dressage horse, endurance horses, race horses and Sunday afternoon pleasure riding horses. I’ve ridden the high mountain country of Australia and spent quantum amounts of dollars on training and natural horsemanhip clinics.
I’ve been taught by people I consider to be among the best horsemen in the world. And I just didn’t get it. I just didn’t get the “it” I was looking for….. Until I went out into the paddock and said to my horse, “What are you going to teach me today?”
And my horse taught me this - “Bobby’s Diaries” - straight from my horse’s mouth and your horse’s mouth - to you, about how you can get your horse to teach YOU….. So you can have that special “it” too.
That was about about 2004 that I started listening to him and for all that time, Bobby has been patiently working with me to improve my understanding and skills and riding in ways that still make me shake my head with wonder.
For a large part of that time, we have been very successfully teaching other people the same things that Bobby was teaching me - most of the photos you see on this site are from those Spirit of Horse Clinics.
So join with me, if you will, in thanking my four legged friend Bobby, my teacher, my mentor, my riding master - for allowing himelf to be put through all that I did to him to bring you this heartfelt book that will truly change the world and the way that we think about horses and other animals forever.
