Hi, I’m Jenny Pearce and the human side of the partnership that wrote the book “Bobby’s Diaries – Straight from the Horse’s Mouth to You”, ”Pathway to Heaven on Earth” and Zen Connection with Horses” The last two books are being read and enjoyed by non-horsey people as well.

I’m the wrong side of middle age and significantly overweight since I stopped smoking.

I learnt to ride as an adult with all the lack of confidence and naturally developed talent that that usually means.  I’m only a reasonably good rider and yet I’m doing the most amazing stuff with my horse by listening to him and using what HE teaches ME to get the results of the confident and gifted rider.

A bit more about us…

We have what we believe to have been the world’s first totally alternative medicine horse hospital in a tiny community called Tanjil South, in Victoria, Australia. For those familiar with regions, Tanjil South is nestled on the edge of the Latrobe Valley, in Gippsland, a couple of driving hours away from the centre of Melbourne.

I “do” dozens of different alternative and holistic methods of healing with both people and all sorts of animals. These “tools” include advanced kinesiology, Bowen muscle therapy, homeopathic and herbal medicine, meridian and acupuncture point therapy, emotional defusions, genetic blueprinting,  vitamin and mineral balancing, food sensivity and allergy testing and chakra balancing and more – I am a Reiki master practitioner and a Mechizideck master. 

Horses are my passion.

I am totally committed to a life that involves constant personal and professional growth and to ways of healing that empower people to heal themselves.  In fact an intense focus of my healing work has been to help people understand how they can significantly contribute to their own healing.   I suspect that it is this focus that has led to the type of books that I write.

I am totally committed to leaving this world a vastly better place than the one I came into.  And I think that these books come under that category.

I am supposed to be the owner of Bobby, a fifteen year old thoroughbred, with eight other horses in our herd, but these days, I am very unsure as to who owns who!

For over thirty years, I rode and handled horses poorly. I’ve done showing, dressage, endurance, throughbred racing and Sunday afternoon pleasure riding. I’ve ridden the high mountain country of Australia and spent quantum amounts of dollars on training and natural horsemanhip clinics.

I’ve been taught by people I consider to be among the best horsemen in the world. And I just didn’t get it. I just didn’t get the “it” I was looking for….. Until I went out into the paddock and said to my horse, “What are you going to teach me today?”

For a large part of that time, we have been very successfully teaching other people the same things that Bobby was teaching me – most of the photos you see on this site are from those Spirit of Horse Clinics.
