I am still teary now. I sat down at about 8.30 this morning to read and remained in my pyjamas until 3.30 because I could not tear myself away from your book. What a wonderful and productive way to spend a public holiday.

Many parts of your book bought up memories going back over the years, as far as twenty years ago when I had a thoroughbred who would buck when he was confused. I remember many people telling me I was letting him get away with too much and I had to punish him for doing it. Even back then I somehow managed to find the courage to do things my way. When he bucked I would take him back to something he knew well and work on that for a while before going back to what we had been working on. I had not managed to term it so clearly as taking him back to his comfort zone. I only knew what I was doing was working. 

Sometimes I have felt, no many times I have felt like I was stumbling in the dark because I did not have the guidance of someone who had been there before me, and your book has managed to clarify so many things for me.

Never again will I do something simply because it’s the way it’s always been done.
